Trump intends to undo DACA, the Obama initiative that protected people under 18 who were brought to the US by undocumented immigrants. Protecting them would require new legislation by Congress.
Contact Senators and tell them to co-sponsor the bipartisan “DREAM Act” (S. 1615)
Contact Reps and tell them to co-sponsor American Hope Act (H.R. 3591), give those with DACA and others who arrived in the United States as children a path to permanent legal status and eventual citizenship.
The only piece of legislation regarding voting in the state of Washington is HB 1513 which would allow 16 and 17 year olds to register to vote so they are ready to vote when they turn 18. You can also comment on this bill.
The State of Utah has been pushing back against maintaining the recently established Bears Ears Nat. Monument in Southern Utah as well as disputing the boundaries of the nearby Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. This petition will urge Secretary Zinke to fight to maintain the current borders of these national monuments.
The pressure we’re putting out there is making a difference in a big way. There are cracks forming and #DonTheCon has had his first major failure to get a party-line vote. Now is a great time to turn up the volume and build on that momentum!
House Republicans are planning to ram through an Affordable Care Act (ACA) repeal bill that will jeopardize health care coverage millions of Americans. They shared a draft of their bill with only 40 hours for the public and even other Members of Congress (MoCs) to review. Republicans are also rushing to approve the bill without releasing a formal cost estimate from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO), which analyzes how much federal legislation will cost or save American taxpayers—known as a “score” (see our CBO explainer for more information on scoring). Americans deserve an open and honest debate for more than two days about a bill that will cause millions of people to lose health insurance coverage.
Votes on the GOP plan in two key committees are planned for March 8 at 10:30am EST without a cost estimate. Supporters of the bill want to get it through the House before they head home for the next Recess (April 8-23). They do not want to face you at town halls and other events in their districts and have to answer questions about their plans for to replace the ACA. Call your representative in the House between now and Wednesday, March 8 and tell them to oppose any congressional action on the proposed ACA repeal bill without a transparent, thoughtful process, including a public CBO score. The American public deserves to know the effects of a bill of this magnitude.
And, if the bill does not preserve the core values of the ACA—like robust and affordable healthcare options for all Americans covered under the ACA—tell your representative to oppose repeal.
By now you should have ALL your representatives on speed dial.
Call both your senators and congresspersons, and also call the Department of Justice, (the number is 202-353-1555) and demand they ask for AG Jeff Sessions’ resignation immediately, for lying to Congress during his confirmation hearing.

A vote on Tuesday re Trump’s corruption. On Tuesday morning, the House Judiciary Committee will vote on a resolution requiring Attorney General Jeff Sessions to release documents related to corruption by Trump or his cronies, including ties to foreign governments. This is not a partisan issue; it’s about the integrity of the Oval Office and of our democracy. Yet, only 67 MoCs have co-sponsored. (Rep. Jayapal, Rep. Adam Smith, and Rep. Rick Larsen are current co-sponsors.) Call your MoC today (Monday) and ask them to co-sponsor H.Res. 111—see this script.
